Personal growth support
David Grünig
A space of support held in simplicity, presence, and deep listening.
To bring light to what calls for transformation, support what seeks alignment, and return to what matters most: the Self.

I offer personal growth support, an approach grounded in attentive listening, authentic presence, and the integration of various tools inspired by Eastern traditions and contemporary methods.

Each session is unique and takes the form of a dialogue through speaking and listening.
The goal is to create a safe space where you can freely express yourself, explore your emotions, thought patterns, and limiting beliefs.

Various techniques may also be included, such as guided relaxation and meditation, intuitive energy work, and body and breathing exercises inspired by Yoga and Qi Gong.

Empathic listening is the cornerstone of my approach. As psychologist Carl Rogers wisely said:
“When I truly listen to someone, I put aside my own understanding and judgments. I seek to understand their world as they perceive it.”

I have full confidence in the person’s potential for self-healing, and supporting people in discovering this potential is my passion.

I am neither a medical doctor nor a psychologist and do not claim to replace them. You can see me as a facilitator of awareness or a “holistic coach” who focuses on well-being rather than performance.

My Journey

From an early age, I asked myself questions larger than life: What is freedom? What is happiness?
These inquiries led me far beyond books, to Asia, where I spent fifteen years exploring Yoga, meditation, energy work, and Qi Gong.

Settling in Hong Kong, my personal journey naturally shifted toward supporting others. I taught Yoga and meditation individually and in small groups for over ten years.

During these years, the approach of supporting others became increasingly evident and natural to me. This led me to train in coaching, which helped me refine the art of listening and questioning.

Sessions

Sessions can be held by phone, online, or in person, depending on location, and last approximately one hour.
I offer a flexible contribution system, meaning no set fee is required. If you feel the session brought you value, you can offer a contribution according to your means and appreciation.

I have participated in numerous silent Vipassana retreats and explored various meditation techniques for over two decades.

Qi Gong – (Zhang Zhuang)

I have especially practiced Zhang Zhuang, a Taoist standing meditation to develop strength, balance, and stability.I am inspired by the meticulous teaching of Marc Cohen, particularly his book Inside Zhang Zhuang.
